A meeting of the Special Committee to Look at Long Term Care in Strafford County has been scheduled on Friday, July 11, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. at the Covered Bridge Manor, 280 County Farm Road Dover, New Hampshire for a brief tour and to review Choices in Independence Program that serves some residents of Covered Bridge Manor and to discuss differences between Supportive Senior Housing, Independent Living, and Assisted Living. Following this meeting, Administrator Ray Bower will lead a tour of Riverside Rest Home, 276 County Farm Road, Dover New Hampshire at 10:00 a.m. followed by the meeting in the Staff Education Room to discuss nursing home financial feasibility study done in 2023; impressions of both facilities toured this morning; and to plan the next meeting.
